It Is Time to Take Control

from Called to Conquer by Bishop Eddie Long

Scripture Reading: Joshua 6:6–21
Key Verse: Joshua 6:20

The wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

You are almost there. On this day, at this very hour, whatever remnant is left of the stronghold that has overshadowed your life since you entered into your promise, will come down.

When you hear the trumpet and behold the ark of God, when you obey the command to shout in Jesus’ name, you will see the walls come down. Then it will be time to walk straight into the enemy’s rubble-strewn city and take it over forever. You will own what Satan once hoped would possess you. It is all part of being the head and not the tail in God’s kingdom (Deut. 28:13).

Father, thank You for bringing me to this day of freedom and victory over the past. The trumpet of conquest has sounded, a shout has been heard, and the walls of my fears and failures have fallen. Today I take the city and enter my land of promise as conqueror and not as the conquered.
