You Are Not Alone
from called to conquer by Bishop Eddie Long
Scripture Reading: Joshua 5:13–15
Key Verse: Joshua 5:14
He said, . . . “As Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?”
We have looked at the story of Jericho again and again for a reason. Here it is once again, just in case it is not clear: Are you tired of your mess? Are you tired of being pulled out of life by the devil? Are you sick and tired of waking up every day sick and tired? Are you tired of having everything taken from you instead of enjoying the divine favor of God? Are you tired of people pulling you back down? Are you tired of spiritual warfare, of not sleeping at night, or of fighting the schemes of the devil? Are you tired of walking around with all this pain in your mind and body? It is time to do something about it.
Once you decide to live by the Scriptures and are secure in the fact that the joy of the Lord is your strength, things will change in your life. When you decide to turn around and stop running, you will not have to fight your enemies alone. The Captain of the Lord’s army always shows up to protect His own—you are not alone.
Jesus Christ is waiting for you to turn around. Will you do it?
Will you face your Jericho?
Lord Jesus, I am weary of running, pretending, and hiding things. I receive Your word as a proclamation of emancipation today. I am free, and as long as You are before me and at my side, I will face my past and my failures head-on, covered by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of God. Thank You for a new life.
