I Love You More

I Love the Pilot More
Scripture Reading: John 21:1–19
Key Verse: John 21:15
Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”
What does it mean to diligently seek God? More than anything else, it means, “I am pursuing Him.” When Jesus spoke to Peter after the failures in the garden of Gethsemane and the high priest’s house, He did not ask Peter to promise he would never make another mistake. He had only one question, and He repeated it three times: “Do you love Me?”
I have settled the matter in my life. Jesus is my Life, my Sustainer, my Savior, my Lord, my Director. He does not have anything to do with copiloting; He is the Pilot who alone gives me instruction. In Him I live and move and have my being (Acts 17:28). God is my all and all. I acknowledge Him in all my ways (Prov. 3:6).
This is the kind of God we serve, and that is the kind of faith it takes to serve and honor Him.
It takes God in you to believe what He wants to do in you. You must allow God in you so that when He speaks to you, you will obey and not delay what He has ordained.
God is all that matters.
Lord, You know that I love You. You also know how many times I have denied and failed You. You know about everything I have said in public and in secret, yet You still love me. Yes, Lord; I love You more.
