The Time Has Come…

It is now I see and feel that calling once again,

to be part of a music that will not just connect but,

make all feel one, one in joy, one in pain,

one in love, one in service and in consciousness

LONDON (AP) — Tickets for Michael Jackson‘s 50 London concerts sold
out within hours of becoming available, organizers said Friday.

For Ayesha Obi — who, having waited since Wednesday, was first in line — the experience was a thriller.

"He
is a legend and I love his message to the world," Obi, a 19-year-old
student said outside the O2 Arena in south London. "I’ve been hoping
that he would perform live again."

The shows are scheduled to
kick off in July and stretch into February. The pop singer has said the
series, entitled "This is It," will be his last in the British capital.

After
360,000 advance tickets sold out earlier this week, roughly 500,000
tickets were made available Friday, organizers said. Hundreds of people
waited outside the arena for the chance to buy them.

"I have come
150 miles just for this," said Lee Middleton, a 34-year-old
construction worker from Liverpool, in northwest England. "We have made
some very interesting friends waiting in line. … People were singing
his songs and dancing."
Tickets were priced between 50 pounds and 75 pounds ($70 and $105) AP Google News

Organisers say the This Is It tour has become the fastest selling in history, with more than 333 seats sold each minute.

Jackson is said to be "thrilled" by the response.

Randy Phillips of promoters AEG Live said: "Not only are these concerts unparalleled, these records will never be broken.
"We knew this was show business history, but this is a cultural phenomenon."  Google News

NEW MUSIC!

Randy Phillips, the AEG boss, said: ‘There will be a new Michael Jackson single before the first date.  Michael has got some new music
and he is looking for a new way of disseminating his material to his
fans.’

Michael Jackson‘s site overwhelmed by fans

MichaelJacksonLive.com struggled to cope after being inundated with hundreds of thousands of
requests from
fans hoping to register for Michael Jackson’s pre-sale ticket offer, ever since the singer announced he’s playing a series of summer concert dates in London.  A spokeswoman for AEG

Live, which is promoting the concerts, said that they had been overwhelmed by the level of interest. "The site is receiving 16,000 requests per
second, so demand is extremely high, phenomenal is an understatement,"
she said.

Tickets go on general sale on March 13, but fans can apply for a chance to buy
pre-release tickets by registering on MichaelJacksonLive.com or texting "MJ"
to 81707.

The sheer number of people desperate to see Jackson’s comeback – and farewell
– shows apparently slowed down the application process.  Other reports state that pre-sale registrations have surpassed the number to fill the 20,000 seat arena 50 times over.

The pop star appeared in person at the arena in Greenwich, southeast London on
Thursday afternoon to announce a 10 date summer residency, telling fans that
they would be his last dates in the capital.
